Klaus was born in Denmark and grew up as a normal Danish boy playing football, bicycling to school everyday in the sun and rain, and in a home filled with the Danish surroundings of HC Andersen fairytales, summer trips to the Little Mermaid, and a messy bedroom filled with his own creations made with Lego bricks.
His parents, while busy working professionals, were passionate about interior design building their home around Danish design classics in furniture, audio and decorative items. His mother collected vintage crystal glasses found in flea markets around Europe, and as such he discovered that simple items like a glass both serve practical uses but can also stir couriosity and start conversations around the dinner table.
In Klaus’ adult life he has continued his passion with Danish design, today working with the icons such as Lego, Kop&Kande, a Danish home living products retailer, and many home brands such as Louis Poulsen and Georg Jensen.
